At this point I was actually using this mouse as a permanent peripheral to my desktop which means it wasn't even moving that much. Luckily there is a two year warranty, which gigabyte ghost m8000x close to two months after starting the whole RMA process I had a brand new mouse.

Now, just a little bit over a year from getting the new mouse the same thing is happening again. While there is no visible fraying on the cable when Gigabyte ghost m8000x plug it into my laptop I have to set it to a certain angle. When I move my laptop or the mouse it will often disconnect and then reconnect and disconnect several times in succession driving me crazy with the Windows USB connection noises. So in short: this is a great mouse, if the connection didn't break so easily.
