Two more questions before I let this thread sit for a couple of weeks and go to a store: -Where is the sweet spot for a simple soundcard? No, not at this point Perhaps in future???? Jan 5, 8. I've taken alc889a codec not installing them and letting Windows 10 do its own thing now. Systems seems to run better as a result.
I am having the same issue as the alc889a codec and I just want to be sure I get the right file. Monday, February 9, AM. I tried tinkering with it a bit, and found that when I did take out any of the three jacks that are plugged in, it registers it being taken out and being put back in. The optical didn't work either, but then again, it hasn't been working for me in ages in XP. XP works perfect so I know the onboard card is okay. I had an audigy 2 and switched to a mobo with the ALCA.
The audigy completely blows away the integrated. The big thing alc889a codec that there's a constant buzzing with the integrated that never happened with the audigy.

And without X-Fi MB5, it doesnt work cuz it says it don't support device like as SonicSuite that at Asus site provided this one is strange, sonicsuite wont let me install it, the SonicSuite program, even i choosed for my Alc889a codec at download section for my motherboard.

Sep 9, Aug 23, Supermicro Workstation Audio Not Working. Mar 29, I've manually added the correct drivers from the gigabyte site but They give me the CODE 10 driver error.
