I don't think it has anything to do with the utility partition. I tried tons of different driver - applications from very confusing dell site. But now im stuck, no biometric device in control panel and i dont know now dell e5400 base system device application i have to install to have.

I recently installed Windows 7 on my Latitude E All the drivers were installed correctly but the 'Base Dell e5400 base system device Device' driver. It shows up under "Other Devices" simply as "Base System Device", of course with the yellow question mark and exclamation point, but of which are taunting me.
